Dr. J. Michael Smith
Dr. J. Michael Smith is nationally renowned in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. He has practiced CT surgery in the TriHealth system at Good Samaritan Hospital for the past 2 decades. He is currently the Medical Director of the Cardiovascular and Mitral Valve Surgery Program and Medical Director of Cardiovascular Surgical Research for The Carl and Edyth Lindner Research Center at The Christ Hospital Health Network. He holds the Castellini Foundation Endowed Chair.
He is the recipient of Health Care Heroes Award for Innovation and Lifetime Achievement Award in Cincinnati. He has a strong interest in global health and is involved in the training of cardiothoracic surgery residents in Kenya at the Tenwek Hospital.
